Matthew 28:19-20 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
I thank God that He still gives me the opportunity to continue preaching His gospel to Bible-studying prospects.
Here are some of the work I did in May 2025.
Evening devotions together
On May 1st, 2025. In the Boys' Dormitory, especially Anggrek B, we still hold evening and morning devotions together. Previously I had made a schedule for night and morning devotions for them in turn. The goal is to train them to read the Bible and pray because they will continue this habit wherever they are later. In the devotion we started with the Bible reading from the book of Psalms, and hoped that this would be finished. After the Bible reading and prayer, I usually remind the children to continue to pay attention to the dormitory rules that apply, especially bad associations such as: Smoking, drinking Alcohol, Fighting, and so on. Because whatever happens to them is always the main person responsible is the dormitory supervisor, not the parents. Therefore, I always urge them to continue to obey the rules that apply in the Dasami Gunungsitoli Dormitory foundation.
Community Service in the Men's Dormitory
On May 2, 2025. At that time, the dormitory children had a one-day school holiday due to National Education Day 2025. I invited the dormitory children to use the time to work together to clean the dormitory downstairs and the second floor among others: Clothesline, glass, bed, and bathroom. The goal is to keep it clean and durable for future use. Cleanliness is part of faith! We continue to do this activity every month even in 1 month for community service in Anggrek B Dormitory about 4 or 5 times more.
Online Bible Class
On Friday, May 2, 2025. I always join the Bible class, an online class for all the Churches of Christ in Indonesia. This class has been held since I was a theology student at the North Sulawesi School of Biblical Studies (Nssbs), Minahasa, North Sulawesi. The topic has been determined by brothers in Manado for a period of one year with the topic, “how to live a Christian life”. This Bible class is attended by local churches in Indonesia and the speakers are theology graduates, of course they are also evangelists. This class is quite interesting because a lot of knowledge is gained when there are things that I don't understand with the class then the solution becomes the solution. The topic of discussion in May 2025, “Why should I Serve?”, there are several points from the theme that have been presented by the speakers in this class.
Checking the Written Bible Course
A few months ago, I gave a written Bible course to dormitory children who were not yet members of the Church of Christ. This Bible course, consisting of lessons 1-7 was accompanied by a Bible certificate given to those who had completed the lessons. And the course is given a certificate, which means it is an award to those who participated in the course. Currently the dormitory children who have received the Bible course are in lesson 4 on “Salvation - Our Need and Its Source”. Hopefully this written Bible course will help the children to understand the truth of God's word.
Bible Class for Yokhebed Children's Home
Every Wednesday in May 2025, I teach a Bible study class (PA) to children in an orphanage on the topic of “Habits.” This lesson is very useful to teach them because as Christians, we must create habits such as: Attending Bible class, giving thanks before meals, praying privately every day, reading the Bible every day, and family devotions. The children are very enthusiastic and eager to learn the Bible during class. We pray that they will grow in their knowledge of God's Word.
Children's Bible Class at the Dormitory
Every month I teach Bible classes to the children at Dasami Dormitory. In May, I taught the first and second grade classes. Every month, I take turns teaching with Mr. Halawa so that the dormitory children don't get bored attending every class. In May, I taught the second grade class on the topic, “The Law of Moses and the Law of Christ?”, along with several sub-topics, including: What does the Law of Moses mean? Why was the Law of Moses given? Until when does the Law of Moses apply? Why doesn't the Law of Moses bind Christians today? What law binds Christians today? We discussed these points together in class. I was happy to see the children during class because of their enthusiasm and focus. They truly respect their teachers and enjoy every lesson that is taught. I hope they will continue to grow spiritually so that one day they will become members of the Church of Christ.
Servant Training Class
Every Sunday evening I conduct a 2-hour church minister training class for the orphanage children in preparation for Sunday worship. Because some of them already take part in worship services, such as: Leading the Singing, Praying, Lord's Supper, Offering, and Congregational Message. I train them how to lead the singing with enthusiasm to keep the congregation energized while singing, and so on. Therefore, I always train, handle them to continue to perform bravely and well. They are the next generation of the Church of Christ on Nias Island, of course they are needed for the leadership of local rural congregations.
Go to the hospital
On May 13, 2025, I took my wife to Bethesda Gunungsitoli Hospital because she was experiencing blood loss. Upon arrival at the hospital, she underwent an examination, and the hospital nurse informed me that my wife would need to rest at the hospital for approximately one week due to a blood transfusion. At that time, the doctor instructed me to purchase approximately four bags of type B blood for the transfusion. My wife and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the financial assistance and prayers from the donors of the Dasami Foundation. May God bless the kindness of all of you.
Prayer visit by the Gunungsitoli congregation
A prayer visit from fellow believers at the Church of Christ in Gunungsitoli to my wife at Bethesda Hospital. My wife and I are very grateful for the prayer visit from all of you, along with the ministers, for the encouragement and strength you have given my wife. May God continue to bless the ministry you provide.
Visit by the Dasami Dormitory Supervisor
The supervisors of the Dasami dormitory and orphanage visited my wife in the hospital to pray for her recovery and to motivate me and my wife. Thank you for the prayer visit from the dormitory and orphanage supervisors.
Teaching Classes in Gido
On May 26-30, 2025. I was entrusted by the committee to deliver material with several topics. The purpose of this activity is to train ministers from the villages. The theme of this activity is "Biblical Doctrine," because this theme is very important for ministers to learn it well. This class was attended by 36 participants along with the speakers. It was great to see the participants in the 2025 Bible Intensive Class (KIA), their enthusiasm for learning was extraordinary. Thank you to the committee, speakers, donors of the Dasami Foundation for supporting the activity. Personally, I really hope that activities like this will continue to be held because it really helps evangelists from the villages to understand the word of God more deeply. Of course, through the 2025 Bible Intensive Class (KIA) activities, it helps the growth of the congregation.
Take my wife to the hospital
On May 31, 2025, after completing the Servant Training in Gido, I took my wife to the hospital for a check-up. The results were all normal. Hopefully, my wife and the baby in her womb are healthy. We ask for prayers and support from the donors of the Dasami Foundation to keep my wife and her delivery process in their prayers so that everything goes smoothly.
Thus is my work report in May 2025. May God's providence always accompany me in doing noble work. And hope that there are souls that are won. Amen.
